Outdoor Saunas in Indiana
Sauna Craft builds outdoor saunas for Indiana backyards and cabins, then installs them so they hold heat through a freeze. The shop is at 15697 Lin Rd in Fortville. Indiana weather is the brief
An outdoor sauna here has to take snow on the roof, freeze-thaw in the siding, and summer humidity that wants to sit in the wall. A catalog cabin is not automatically built for that. We treat the outdoor unit as a small building: the roof has to shed snow, the door has to still close after a January night, and the heater has to bring a cold shell up to heat without spending the whole session on warmup.
Insulation and weatherproofing, in plain language
Insulation is what keeps the heat in the room instead of leaking through the walls, ceiling, and door. Weatherproofing is the outside of that job: flashing, a roof that drains, a door that does not leak, and a base that keeps the wood off standing water. Get either one wrong and the room is slow to heat, or it takes on moisture. We build both into the install, then run electrical and ventilation so the sauna is safe to use year-round.
Fishers, Carmel, and Zionsville yards
Most of these installs sit in backyard corners in Fishers, Carmel, Zionsville, and Indianapolis: a pad off the patio, a cabin by the pool, a unit next to a cold plunge. Setbacks, the electrical run, and how you walk from the house to the door matter as much as the benches. We come look at the yard from Fortville, then build to that site instead of forcing a standard footprint.
