Custom Sauna Builder in Greenwood, IN

Custom Saunas in Greenwood, Indiana

Greenwood and the south side of Indianapolis are part of Sauna Craft’s Central Indiana service area. We design and build custom indoor and outdoor saunas for Greenwood, Bargersville, and nearby Johnson County homes when you want a built-in heat room instead of a portable cabin.

Jason Guilliam specs the heater to the space, builds with heat-ready woods, and finishes each room with ventilation and moisture in mind. Basement rooms, bath remodels with steam, and backyard outdoor saunas are all in scope.

Homes across Greenwood and Johnson County

Greenwood mixes established neighborhoods around Old Town with newer subdivisions spreading toward Center Grove, Bargersville, and Whiteland. Older homes often have a basement or spare room that can become a heat room with some framing, insulation, and a dedicated circuit. Newer builds sometimes leave a basement unfinished, which makes it easy to plan the sauna before the drywall goes up. Larger lots farther south have room for a standalone outdoor sauna. Wherever the room goes, we check the ceiling height, the distance to the electrical panel, and how moisture will be handled before we price it.

South-side service without the DIY risk

A custom sauna is still a construction project. We plan power, clearances, and finishes up front so the room is safe and comfortable for daily use. Commercial and club projects are available when a facility needs a room built for heavy traffic—the same standards behind work such as the Indianapolis Colts practice facility and the YMCA in Kokomo. Gyms and studios can see more on our commercial saunas page.

Choosing the heat

Indoor rooms use an electric sauna heater sized to the cubic footage, or infrared panels if you prefer lower temperatures and faster warm-up; see home saunas. Steam needs both power and plumbing, so it usually fits best in a bathroom remodel. For backyard builds, read outdoor saunas in Indiana. If you want a wood fire, we build wood-burning saunas as outdoor standalone rooms or trailer saunas, not indoors.

What to expect

Send the questionnaire or call Jason for a short no-obligation consultation and an initial estimate. Because our shop is in Fortville, we schedule the Greenwood site visit to measure the space, then send a detailed quote. After you approve it, we design the room, order materials, and build: any demo or clear-out, electrical and ventilation, then the room itself, finished with a walk-through. Every step is on our process page.
