Commercial Sauna Builder for Toledo, Ohio

Sauna Craft builds commercial saunas for Toledo-area gyms, clinics, hotels, and athletic programs, including Perrysburg, Maumee, and Sylvania. Our shop is at 15697 Lin Rd in Fortville, Indiana. Toledo is about 3 hours 20 minutes away without traffic, past the three-hour range we normally use for commercial work. So we take Toledo projects case by case, and commercial only: no home saunas. Call or text Jason Guilliam at 317-626-5669 with the address and scope.

What makes a Toledo project a good fit

At this distance, the projects that work best are ones where the sauna is a planned part of a build-out: a new gym or clinic, a hotel renovation, or an athletic facility with drawings and a general contractor already in place. A complete scope up front lets us plan the job as one trip, with no return visits for missing decisions.

  • Gyms, health clubs, and training facilities in Toledo, Perrysburg, Maumee, and Sylvania
  • Physical therapy, chiropractic, and sports medicine clinics
  • Hotels and conference properties
  • University, high school, and club athletic programs
  • Recovery studios built around heat and cold plunges

The route and the logistics

The drive runs north on I-69 to Fort Wayne, around the city on I-469, then east on US 24 into the Toledo area. We measure from your drawings and photos wherever possible, confirm the heater, wood, benches, glass, and electrical in writing, and plan components at our Fortville shop. Then we run one on-site build window. Most custom saunas take one to two weeks from the agreed start date, depending on the room’s size and complexity. Every build ends with a walk-through for your staff.

Ohio code and your project team

The general contractor of record pulls the permit with the local building department under the Ohio Building Code. We work as the sauna trade under them and provide the finished room dimensions and ceiling height, the heater model and electrical requirements, clearances, the ventilation plan, and the locations of the heater, controls, and lighting. Your electrician runs the dedicated circuit. The fire protection contractor needs the heater details to choose heads rated for the heat near the room.

For accessibility, section 612 of the 2010 ADA Standards calls for an accessible bench meeting section 903 where seating is provided, a turning space inside the room, and a door that doesn’t swing into the bench’s clear floor space. We build to your architect’s approved layout.

Trailer saunas

If you want a mobile sauna rather than a built room, the distance matters less. You bring your trailer to our Fortville shop, we build the sauna on it, and you tow it home. Our horse trailer conversion uses a Harvia Cilindro 16 wood-burning stove, and trailers can also take a propane or electric heater. Wood heat is for outdoor and trailer builds only. See mobile and trailer saunas.

Proof

Our commercial references are the Colts practice facility hybrid room, the YMCA Kokomo cedar room for 10 to 12 people, and Indy City Barbell. We don’t have a Toledo project to show yet.
